Safety City - Spring Break Camp

Children, grades K-5, have the opportunity to learn about safety and emergency readiness with a fun, engaging and immersive experience! Anticipate an exciting lineup of fire safety demonstrations, interactive activities, guided tours of emergency vehicles, and health and safety displays by EMTs. Plus, we'll cover water, energy, and electricity safety. Secure your spot ***Registration Deadline Extended to 3/31*** 

What to Expect

• Day 1 - Fire Safety -  Introduce participants to fundamental fire safety practices, instill awareness about fire hazards, and empower them with the knowledge to respond safely in emergency situations.
• Day 2 - Police Interaction - Foster positive connections between children and law enforcement, provide insights into the community policing role, emphasize safety awareness, and impart knowledge about road signs.
• Day 3 - EMT and Emergency Preparedness - Enhance understanding of emergency medical services, teach basic first aid skills, and promote overall emergency preparedness, empowering participants to respond confidently in medical emergencies.
• Day 4 - Visit with Newnan Utilities and Graduation ceremony with Mayor Brady - Explore the world of Newnan Utilities as they showcase their electric trucks, providing a unique learning experience. Conclude the camp with a special graduation ceremony attended by Mayor Keith Brady.

10:25 - 10:50 AM : Game Break & Snack (Provided by ChildrenConnect)

10:50 - 11:50 AM : Activity 2

11:50 - 12:00 PM : Wrap Up / Clean Up / Free Play

12:00 PM : Pick Up

Price & Discounts - A spring break session (Tues - Fri) is $150 per child.  ChildrenConnect Members receive a 10% discount (make sure to login to the ChildrenConnect website using the same email you purchased your membership with to receive the discount automatically at checkout). Drop-Off & Pick-Up - Parents please drop-off your children between 8:50 - 9:15 AM at the ChildrenConnect Museum. If you feel your child is not quite ready to be left without you, consider staying as a camp volunteer to help with activities and be in sight of your little one (Complete this Volunteer Interest Form at the same time of registration and put the camp session you will be volunteering at in the comment box.) Please pick-up your child at Noon at the ChildrenConnect Museum.

What to Wear - Please wear socks and closed toed shoes (no sandals). With partial outdoor activities we advise wearing sunscreen.

Bring Labeled Water Bottle - Please send a water bottle labeled with your child’s name.

Food - Snacks (peanut free) will be provided by ChildrenConnect and camp will end at Noon. Feel free to bring a packed lunch at pickup and stay to enjoy a picnic in neighboring Veterans Park after camp or grab a bite at one of the delicious downtown Newnan restaurants.

Cancellation/Refund Policy - Receive a full refund if canceled by March 17, 2024. If canceling after March 17, 2024 expect to forfeit your registration fee, unless there is a waitlist camper who can fill your spot.

Rain Policy - In the event of rain, activities will be adapted for indoors. Camp will continue.
